Bhavani Engineering

We are set up at D-31/8 on Road No-3 in the Sardar Estate. It’s right off Asoj Shivaji Road, which stays pretty jammed with trucks during the day. Bhavani Engineering has been our life for quite a while now. The estate is full of small shops like ours, so there’s always a lot of activity and people moving around. Our space isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit all the necessary equipment in there. It takes a bit of maneuvering to move the larger pieces of steel around without hitting the walls. We do a lot of general engineering and repair work. The atmosphere is pretty casual; we listen to the radio while we work and take tea breaks when the heat gets too much. Working in Sardar Estate means you get to know all the other shop owners nearby. We help each other out with tools or advice sometimes. It’s a hard-working neighborhood. We don't use any fancy management software or anything, just a notebook to keep track of what needs to be done. The work is physical and sometimes exhausting, but there is a good feeling in finishing a project. We keep the doors open to let the air circulate, even though the road noise comes right in. It’s just the way it is here on Road No-3. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily list of jobs. It’s not fancy, but it works.
