Bhagavati Masala

You can find Bhagavati Masala over at Sahajanand Estate. We are right opposite the Ceat Shop, behind Sardar Gunj. It is a busy industrial area, so there is always a lot of movement and noise around. We spend our time here grinding and mixing different masalas. The air in the unit is always full of spice dust. We wear masks and keep the exhaust fans running as much as we can. It is a tough job sometimes, especially on the hot days. We started out small and have just kept at it. The equipment we use is reliable, though it is not the newest stuff on the market. We know how to fix it ourselves when it breaks. Our team consists of a few local guys who know the recipes by heart. We do not write everything down in fancy manuals. It is more about the feel and the smell of the spices. Sometimes the supply of raw materials is a bit slow, so we have to wait. We use that time to clean the machines and tidy up the estate space. We are not looking to be the biggest masala company in the country. We just want to make a product that people in the neighborhood like to use in their kitchens. It is a simple life and a simple business. We work hard, we take our breaks, and we make sure the bags are sealed right.
