Balaji Steel

Balaji Steel is located over in Vadsar, right across from the Hanuman Temple. Our address is 359/A/8. Being near the temple means there’s always something going on nearby and it’s a good landmark for people trying to find us. We work with steel, so there is a lot of heavy lifting and the sound of metal hitting metal. It’s a dusty job and the yard is usually full of various beams and rods. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most people just walk right into the workspace to talk to us. We’ve been here for a long time and the neighborhood has grown up around us. Sometimes we have to move things around with the crane which takes up most of the space. The weather really affects our day. If it’s raining we have to be careful with the stock and if it’s too hot the metal gets tough to handle. We have a small office at the front where we keep the books and take calls. It’s mostly just a desk and a few chairs that have seen better days. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. We just focus on the steel and getting the orders right. It's hard work and we usually go home pretty tired. But it’s what we know how to do. There aren't many bells and whistles here. Just a lot of metal and hard work every single day.
