Balaji Steel

Our shop, Balaji Steel, sits right on the 9th Cross of the 1st Main in Makarpura. If you know the area, you know it’s a lot of manual labor and heavy machinery around here. We fit right in. Our unit at 359/A/8 isn't hard to find if you look for the big stacks of metal near the entrance. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and our afternoons sorting through orders. It’s a lot of physical work, and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. There isn’t much to the "About Us" story other than we’ve been working here for years and we know the steel business inside and out. We don’t use any complicated systems to track things, just a few notebooks and our own eyes. The noise from the street is constant, but we don't even notice it anymore. Sometimes we sit on the crates outside for a break when things get slow. We don't have a big corporate logo or a mission statement. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. The 1st Main gets crowded with trucks during the middle of the day, so things can get a bit hectic trying to move stuff around. We just handle it as it comes. It’s a practical way to live, and the community around Makarpura is full of people doing the exact same thing as us. The light in the back of the shop flickers a bit, but it’s enough to see by.
