Ashok Steel

Ashok Steel is located in Complex No. 601 of the Shiv Complex. We are right across the street from the Raj Shivalaya Talkies in the Lotiya Bhagol neighborhood. It is a lively part of town, especially when a big movie is playing across the way. Our office and storage area are part of this big complex, so we are surrounded by other small businesses and shops. We deal with steel, which is heavy and can be quite messy to handle. Our unit isn't very large, so we have to be clever about how we stack our materials and samples. We spend a lot of our day on the telephone, talking to builders and contractors who need supplies for their projects. It is a lot of talking and a lot of writing things down in our ledgers. We don't have a polished corporate image or a big team of sales people. It is just a handful of us who know the steel business well enough to get by. The stairs up to the sixth floor can be a bit much when the elevator is acting up, but we are used to it by now. We have been at this location for years and have seen the area grow and change. We are just a local business doing our thing, trying to keep up with the daily orders and the needs of our regulars. It is often loud and cramped, but it is where we work.
