Arup Kumar Architects

We set up our office at Plot No.11 in Sayajigunj. We are quite close to Manibhai Park, which is a nice spot to walk through if we need a break from the drawing boards. At Arup Kumar Architects, the days usually start early and end whenever the work is done. The office is full of models, sketches, and rolls of tracing paper. It’s a bit of a mess, honestly, but it’s an organized mess. We know where every pencil and ruler is hidden. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to tell us how to sound professional. We just talk like normal people and focus on the buildings we are working on. Most of our time is spent hunched over desks or talking to contractors on the phone. It’s not a glamorous job, despite what people think about architects. There’s a lot of mundane stuff like checking regulations and making sure the plumbing lines are right. We enjoy the process of seeing something go from a sketch to a real structure. The office itself is just a plain building with enough room for our drafting tables. We don’t have fancy art on the walls, just the plans for our current projects. It’s a simple setup that allows us to focus on the task at hand without any distractions. We just keep plugging away at it, one drawing at a time.
