Akshar Ispat

Our place, Akshar Ispat, is situated over in the G.I.D.C. area of Makarpura, specifically at 78/1/H on Vadsar Main Road. If you are looking for us, we are right across from the Gayatri Temple. You can usually hear the bells from the temple in the morning while we are unloading the trucks. It’s a pretty busy industrial zone, so there is always a lot of noise and movement. We deal with different types of steel, mostly just keeping stock and making sure things get to the right people. The yard is big enough for the trucks but it gets a bit messy when a big shipment comes in at once. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks. It's mostly just desks covered in papers and a few chairs for visitors to sit while they wait for their orders. The guys in the back are usually busy with the heavy lifting and making sure the inventory counts are mostly right. Working in steel means everything is heavy and things get dirty pretty fast. We’ve been at this spot for some time now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the G.I.D.C. traffic. Most of our day is just spent on the phone or talking to drivers who are coming in from the main road. It is just a straightforward business where we focus on getting the work done without much fuss or any complicated procedures.
