Adib Akhter

My name is Adib Akhter, and I work out of Jharbari village. This is in the Chopra area of Uttar Dinajpur. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities. Most of what happens here revolves around the local community and the seasons. I don’t have a big office building or anything like that. It’s mostly just me and a small group of people in the village. We handle our work from here, which is much easier than traveling far away. Uttar Dinajpur is a nice district, even if it’s a bit tucked away. In Jharbari, everyone knows each other. My address is simple because the post office and the police station in Chopra are the main points of reference for us. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a high-tech setup. It’s mostly just basic tools and a lot of manual effort. Some days the weather is quite rough, especially during the rains, which can make getting around Jharbari a bit of a challenge. But we manage to keep things going. We aren't trying to be a huge corporation. It's just a local effort to get work done and support ourselves. We take things one day at a time here. It’s a slow pace of life, but it suits the work we do. There isn't much more to it than that. Just simple work in a small village. We try to help out our neighbors whenever we have some extra time. It isn't much, but it makes the day feel better.
