Umesh Shetty

I’m Umesh Shetty and I run things from Kushala Nivas. It’s out in the Panidyadi area, near the Kunjibettu post in Udupi. My place is a bit further out from the main city noise, which I actually prefer. It’s a bit more peaceful for working. People usually find me through word of mouth since I’m not right on a main commercial road. I’ve been living and working in Udupi my whole life. The house serves as my base of operations. It’s a simple setup where I can keep track of everything without much fuss. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on various projects. I don't have a big staff or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably see me at my desk or out in the yard. It’s more of a personal way to handle business. The Kunjibettu area has changed a lot over the years, but it still feels like the neighborhood I know. I handle my own schedule and talk to people directly. There’s no middleman here. Sometimes it gets a bit quiet, but there’s always something that needs fixing or a person who needs help with their paperwork. I like the independence of it. It’s not a corporate office, just me doing what I know how to do. You just follow the road toward Panidyadi and look for Kushala Nivas.
