Roop Shringar

Roop Shringar is located at 100, Maldas St, which is right in the heart of the Udaipur Ho area. If you’ve ever walked down Maldas Street, you know how narrow and packed it gets with shoppers looking for clothes and traditional items. Our shop is right there in the thick of it. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The building is one of those old Udaipur structures, and we’ve kept it pretty much the same over the years. We sell shringar items, which means a lot of bangles, cosmetics, and things for women to get ready for festivals or weddings. It’s a small space, and on Saturdays, it can get very crowded with people squeezing past each other. We don't have a website or fancy ads; we just open the doors and wait for the regulars to come in. The street outside is always full of cows, scooters, and tourists. It’s a lively place to work, even if it gets a bit exhausting by the end of the day. We know the other shop owners on the street, and we often share tea while waiting for the morning rush. It’s a simple, traditional way of doing business in Udaipur. We just try to keep the shelves stocked with what people are looking for and keep the place running. It is a bit messy sometimes, but that is part of the charm of Maldas Street.
