Standard Power House

This place is on the Mewar Motor Link Road, specifically at Toran Bavri, number 11. It's an area where you see a lot of mechanics and people looking for parts. We deal with electrical stuff and power equipment at Standard Power House. The shop has a lot of heavy items sitting on the floor and metal shelves that are probably older than me. It smells like copper and oil in here most of the time. When a motor breaks down or someone needs a specific wire, they usually find their way to us. It’s not a quiet place because of the traffic on the link road and the sound of testing equipment. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where the fuses and capacitors are kept. The walls are a bit stained from years of work. Sometimes a customer comes in with a part that's totally burnt out and we have to figure out what it even was before we can find a replacement. We don't use a computer for everything, mostly just paper notes and memory. It gets hot in the summer because the fans don't do much against the heat coming off the street. We just keep the shutters up and wait for the next job to come in. It’s steady work and people know us around here. We don't bother with fancy displays, just boxes of gear and cables everywhere.
