Saluja Electric & Battery Services is located right on Link Road. If you know this road, you know how much traffic there is every single day. Our shop smells mostly like old metal and battery acid, which is something you just get used to after a week of working here. We have batteries of all sizes lined up on the floor, some new and some that people brought in for us to look at. My hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the terminals and cables, but that’s just how the job goes. We spend a lot of time testing alternators and checking if a battery can still hold a charge or if it’s finally dead. The workbench in the back is covered in tools, screwdrivers, and little bits of wire that never seem to get cleared away. It’s not a polished showroom by any means. It’s a place where we do real work. People pull up their cars or bikes right outside on the edge of the road, and we go out to see what the problem is. Sometimes it’s a quick fix and other times it takes a few hours. We have an old fan that rattles on the ceiling to keep the air moving during the hot afternoons. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and most people around Link Road know to come here when their vehicle won't start in the morning. We just try to get the job done right.
