If you ever find yourself near Mullatalai Choraha in the Ambamata Scheme, you might see our place at 458. We’ve been here at Soliwal Art'S & Craft'S for quite a few years now. The shop is full of all sorts of things we’ve collected or worked on. It’s not one of those modern, clean-looking galleries. Instead, it’s a bit of a maze with crafts tucked into every corner. We spend our days surrounded by various materials and half-finished projects. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming how much stuff we have, but there’s a story behind most of it. People from the neighborhood drop in to chat or see what’s new. We don’t have a big marketing plan or a corporate strategy. We just enjoy making things and seeing what other people create. The lighting isn't always great, and the floors are a bit uneven, but it has a lot of character. We handle the business side of things from a small desk in the back that's always buried under papers and tools. It’s a busy life, especially when there’s a local festival coming up. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the shop going. It’s a bit messy and a bit loud sometimes, but it’s our space. We’re just regular people doing what we like in a part of town we know well. It stays interesting and keeps us on our toes.
