Sadik Ali & Sons

Sadik Ali & Sons is located deep inside the Bada Bazar area, specifically in the part they call Kolpol. If you aren't familiar with the bazar, it can be a bit of a maze to find us the first time. The streets here are narrow, and you have to watch out for the carts and bikes moving through. Our shop has been in the family for generations, and not much has changed about the way we do things. The walls are thick, which helps keep it a little cooler in the summer, but it still gets stuffy when the market is full of people. We deal in various goods that have been our staple for a long time. There is no computer system or anything like that here; we still do most things by hand and keep our notes in paper ledgers. It might seem old-fashioned to some, but it works for us. My sons are learning the trade now, just like I did from my father. We spend a lot of our time just sitting and talking with customers, as business in the bazar is often about the relationships you build over twenty or thirty years. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town or anything. We just want to keep the tradition going and provide for the family. When the sun starts to go down, the bazar takes on a different feel, and that is usually my favorite time of the day.
