Radhika Saree

You can find Radhika Saree at number 4, Laxmi Marg, right over in the Amal Ka Kanta area. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but people find us eventually. We’ve been selling sarees here for quite a while. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack the stock. We carry mostly daily wear stuff, things that people around here actually use. Not too much of that heavy, expensive embroidery that just sits on a shelf for years. We like to keep things moving. The floor is where most of the work happens. We sit down, spread out the sarees, and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. It feels more like a living room sometimes than a store. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum all day. Sometimes we forget to turn them off when we lock up. The street outside is narrow, so you have to be careful where you park your cycle. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming to us since we first opened. It’s nice to see familiar faces. We just try to have a good mix of colors and patterns so there is something for everyone. It’s a simple life, running this shop.
