New National Store

We are situated at number 45, right in the lane opposite Hotel Rituraj. This part of Premidwara Marg can be a bit hard to navigate if you aren’t used to the narrow streets of Amal Ka Kanta. The shop has been here a long time and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We sell all sorts of daily items and general goods. Boxes of supplies are often piled up near the entrance because the delivery trucks can't come all the way in. We have to carry things by hand from the main road. The counter is old and scratched up from years of sliding change across it. It’s often quite warm inside during the afternoons, so we keep a small table fan going right behind the chair. There isn't a lot of room to move around when we are unpacking new inventory. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we use a shaky metal ladder to reach the top. It’s a noisy area with scooters constantly zooming past the front door. We keep a ledger on the desk to track what we need to order next week. It’s just a normal store where we deal with the heat and the crowd every single day without much fuss. People come in for one thing and end up talking about the weather for ten minutes. We have an old clock that chime every hour, but it's usually off by a few minutes compared to the phones.
