Sai Collection

If you go to Fatehpura, you'll find us at Sai Collection. It’s a straightforward shop where we sell clothes and other items. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that, just a couple of us who take turns minding the store. The racks are usually pretty full, and we spend a lot of time rearranging things so they look halfway decent. Fatehpura is a lively area, and we like being part of the noise and the movement here. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty because of the traffic outside, so we have to wipe things down every morning before we open. We don't have any big mission statement or a fancy philosophy about fashion. We just buy things we think people will like and put them on the shelves. The lighting inside is a little bit dim in the corners, but we have enough lamps to see the colors of the fabric. We’ve been here for a while and most of the other shop owners nearby are our friends. We often share tea in the afternoons when there aren't many customers around. It’s a relaxed kind of place. We don't go for big sales or loud advertisements. We just open the doors and see who comes in. It’s a small business, and we are happy staying right here in Fatehpura doing what we know how to do. The ceiling fan clicks a bit when it's on high speed, but we don't really mind the noise. It's just part of the shop's character.
