Patel Industries

Out here in Gudli RIICO Industrial Area on Road No - 7A, the atmosphere is quite different from the city markets. Patel Industries is situated at G -1-197, and it’s mostly just machines humming and the smell of oil and metal. We spend our days on the factory floor, making sure the production is moving along like it should. It’s a long drive out here for most of us, so the day starts early and ends when the sun is already down. The road can be pretty rough with all the heavy industrial traffic, which makes getting supplies in a bit of a headache sometimes. Inside, it’s not very quiet. We have to shout over the sound of the equipment to hear each other. We don't have a fancy front office with air conditioning; we just have a small corner with a fan where we keep the ledgers and the daily logs. There’s always a lot of dust because of the surrounding construction and the work we do, so nothing stays clean for long. We take our breaks together, usually sitting on some crates or near the main gate to get a bit of a breeze. It’s hard work, and your clothes get ruined pretty fast, but we’ve got a good group of people here who know their jobs. We just focus on hitting our numbers and making sure the machines don't break down mid-shift.
