Mahaveer Vastra Bhandar

Living and working near the Zinc Smelter Choraha means you get used to the sound of heavy trucks going past all day long. Mahaveer Vastra Bhandar is right there in Debari where everyone passes through on their way somewhere else. We have rolls of cloth and different garments stacked up on the shelves and sometimes the colors are so bright they make the whole room feel lighter. It’s a dusty area because of the industrial plants nearby so we are always dusting off the counters and the plastic covers. We have a small bench outside where I like to sit for a few minutes with a cup of tea when the morning rush dies down. The shop isn't very large and when more than three or four people are inside it starts to feel a bit tight. But that's just part of being a local shop in Debari and we know most of the families who live around here. They know they can find us open even when the weather is bad. Mahaveer Vastra Bhandar is just a local place where we do our best to keep things simple and keep our customers happy without any big fuss. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it’s on the highest speed but it keeps the air moving and that’s all that matters. It's a good spot to be and we've grown fond of the noise from the choraha over the years.
