Hotel Pathik

You can find us on City Station Road, which is usually one of the busiest streets in this part of town. Hotel Pathik has been at numbers 15-16 for quite some time now. Being so close to the station means there is never really a quiet moment. There is always the sound of rickshaws and people carrying luggage past our front door. We are just a small group of people working here, mostly locals who grew up in these neighborhoods. Our day usually starts before the sun is up, getting things ready for people arriving on the early trains. The building is older, so it has its quirks, but we do our best to keep everything in working order. We spend a lot of time just talking to guests about where to find a good meal or which bus to take. It is not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and get on with the work that needs doing. Sometimes the road outside gets dug up for repairs, or the power goes out, and we just deal with it like everyone else on the block. We know the other business owners on City Station Road pretty well. It feels like a little community even though there are so many people passing through. We just provide a place to sleep and a bit of a break from the noise of the street. It is basic, honest work and we are okay with that.
