Fabric Ashoka

If you walk down Lake Palace Road, you eventually find us at Delwara House. It is a known building around here. Fabric Ashoka has been operating out of this space for some time. The road gets quite busy, especially with people heading toward the water. You can hear the sounds of the street even when the doors are closed. We have our workspace set up inside Delwara House and it feels like a second home to most of us. The floors are a bit old but they have character. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. It is more about having enough room to get the daily tasks done. Being on Lake Palace Road means there is always something to see out the window. Sometimes the weather makes the commute a bit slow, but we usually make it in on time. Fabric Ashoka is just us, sitting here and doing the work. We keep our supplies tucked away in the corners. It's a practical setup. There is no big sign or flashing lights. People who need to find us usually do. We just focus on the stuff in front of us. It is a simple way to spend the day. We have our rituals, like who makes the first pot of tea and where we put the mail. It works for us and keeps the day moving along smoothly.
