We are over here in Srirangam at No 25, Laxmi Nagar. If you know Trichy, you know how busy it gets around here. Our team at Avsam Wedding & Event Planners basically lives in our diaries and on our phones. Most mornings start with a lot of tea and looking at floor plans that we’ve drawn and redrawn about a dozen times. Weddings are a big deal in this part of town, and we’re right in the middle of it. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we keep all our supplies and meet with families who are usually quite stressed out. We listen more than we talk most of the time. Srirangam is a beautiful place for an event, but the logistics can be a real headache if you aren't used to the narrow streets and the crowds. We spend a lot of time walking back and forth, making sure the decorations are where they should be and the food arrives before everyone gets hungry. It’s not always glamorous work, honestly. There is a lot of dust and heavy lifting involved, but we’ve been doing this long enough that it’s just part of the routine. We are just local people helping other local people get through their big days without too much drama. If you’re walking around Laxmi Nagar, you’ll probably see us hauling boxes or arguing with a delivery driver.
