Wee Shine Montessory School

Wee Shine Montessory School is tucked away on V.O.C Street in Chettupattu. It’s a small place, really. We wanted to have a spot where the younger kids in Tiruvannamalai could come and start their learning. The rooms are filled with the usual stuff you’d expect for small children, like colorful charts and little chairs. We don't have a huge playground, just a small space for them to move around. The staff here are mostly women from the neighborhood who like working with kids. We try to keep things organized, but with little ones, it’s always a bit chaotic. That’s just the way it is. We aren't some big franchise school with a huge budget. It’s just a local school on a regular street. Parents often stop by to talk to us at the gate during pick-up. We know most of the families around Chettupattu by name. It’s nice to see the kids grow up and move on to the bigger schools later. The building is just a house that we converted for school use. We keep it clean and make sure the kids are safe during the day. Sometimes we have to paint the walls again because of all the handprints and scuff marks. If you live in 606801, you probably know where V.O.C Street is. We’ve been here for a while now and don't plan on moving anywhere else. It is a humble place for the children to grow.
