Shriplast

Shriplast is located out at Sp 26 in the Ambattur Industrial Estate. It is a big area with lots of factories and warehouses all around us. The roads here get quite dusty when the trucks go past, which is pretty much all the time. We have been here at this spot for some time. Inside, it's mostly just machines and piles of materials waiting to be moved. It’s not very quiet, but you get used to the humming sound of everything running. We don't have a big reception area or anything fancy because most of our space is taken up by the production side of things. Sometimes it gets a bit disorganized when a big shipment comes in, and we have to shuffle things around to make space. The tea stall around the corner is where most of us end up during the breaks. The weather in Ambattur can be quite harsh, especially in the summer months, so we keep the fans going all day long. There are always people moving about, checking on things or loading up vehicles. It’s a busy life here. We don’t really do much in the way of decoration. A few calendars on the wall and some old ledgers are about all you will see. It works for us, though. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the shift is over.
