D.R. Packaging Industries

We've been here at Sidco Industrial Estate for a while now. It's busy in Ambattur, and our shed at No.51 A stays pretty active most days. We mostly handle boxes and different types of packaging stuff. It started out small but we kept adding machines when we could find the space. The heat in the North Phase gets to us sometimes, but we just keep the fans going and get the work done. There are a lot of neighbors around doing different industrial jobs, so it’s a good spot to be in. We aren't fancy or anything. Most of our day is spent checking the tape, the cardboard quality, and making sure the counts are right before things go out on the trucks. People usually just drop by if they need something specific. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start, and they know how the old machines' temperamental streaks work. It’s not always quiet here, especially when the big cutters are running. If you walk past the North Phase, you’ll probably hear us before you see the sign. We try to keep things organized, but in a packaging unit, there’s always a bit of scrap lying around until the end of the shift. We just focus on getting the orders ready on time so the drivers aren't waiting around in the yard. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the gates close.
