Private Firm

Our place of work is Thulasi Home, which is part of a house owned by Mrs. Sudam. We are located at No 1 28 in JJ Nagar East. This is in the Mugapair area of Chennai, not too far from the Madras Medical Mission. It is a quiet residential street. Working out of a home makes things feel much more personal. We do not have those gray cubicles you see in big offices. Instead, we have a couple of large tables where everyone sits. We handle various tasks as a private firm. It is mostly administrative work and helping out with local business needs. Chennai is famous for its heat, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working well. We are a small team and we have known each other for a long time. There is no corporate ladder here. We just all pitch in to get the work done. Most of the people who come to see us are from the surrounding blocks. They know the house and they know us. We don't have a big neon sign out front. We just have a small nameplate. It is a simple way to run a business. We like the pace of Mugapair. It is busy but still feels like a neighborhood where people know their neighbors and help each other out with things.
