Fidelity National Information Services

Our office for Fidelity National Information Services is tucked away in Sree Shankar Nagar, which is out in the Avadi area of Chennai. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the center of the city, but it’s a lot quieter out here than downtown. We are on 4th Street, specifically at Plot Number 82. The building is easy enough to spot once you get onto the right street. It’s a residential-feeling neighborhood, so it doesn’t feel like a big corporate park. We have a few rooms where we handle all the information services work. It’s mostly just us and our computers. Some of us have been working here since the office first opened. The weather in Chennai can get really hot, so the fans are always running in the office. We usually bring our own lunch from home and eat together in the small break area. There isn’t much to say about the decor, it’s just plain walls and some filing cabinets. We do our best to keep up with the work coming in. Sometimes the street gets a bit flooded when the rains are heavy, but we manage to get through it. Being in Avadi means we avoid the worst of the city traffic most days. It’s a practical location for a business like ours. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home. It is a steady place to work.
