K. M. B. Granites

K. M. B. Granites is located on Ramachandran Street. Our office is on the ground floor of Laxmi Apartments, specifically at number 163. It makes things easier being on the ground floor because we don't have to deal with elevators when people come by. We work with granite, as the name says. It's heavy stuff, so most of our time is spent talking to suppliers and checking on orders for different projects. The office itself is pretty plain. We have some samples laying around so people can see the different colors and textures of the stone. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty in here from all the stone pieces, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We started this because we knew a bit about the stone industry and had some contacts. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking measurements. If a measurement is off by even a little bit, it ruins the whole slab, so we have to be careful. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just us here, trying to make a living and helping people get the stone they need for their floors or counters. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays fairly quiet during the day which is nice for getting work done. We’ve been at this for a while and don't plan on moving anytime soon. Ramachandran Street feels like home to us now.
