V. M. S. Onion Exporters

V. M. S. Onion Exporters is located right on Trichi Main Road at No. 1. We are in the Avinashipalayam area, near the Sungam in Koduvai. Onions are what we do every day. If you come by the warehouse, the first thing you’ll notice is the smell. It’s strong, but we don't even notice it anymore. We spend a lot of time sorting through piles of onions, checking for quality, and getting them ready to be shipped out. It is hard, physical work. We have to move heavy bags and make sure the trucks are loaded correctly. Trichi Main Road is always busy with lorries, so there is a lot of dust and noise. We don't have a fancy office; it’s mostly just the warehouse space and a small area for the books. We work with the local growers and then handle the export side of things. Some days the market prices are all over the place, which makes things stressful. We just keep sorting and packing regardless. The heat can get pretty bad in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and get the work finished. We've been at this spot in Koduvai for years. Everyone around here knows us as the onion people. We just keep our heads down and make sure the onions get to where they are going.
