Star Granite

Our place, Star Granite, is at D.No.145 near the bus stop in Kesavayanagunta, Bairagupattadu. It is a simple shop in a busy area. Being near the bus stop means we get a lot of foot traffic. People often stop and look at the granite while they wait for their ride to come. We have been here long enough that people use us as a landmark. The work involves a lot of manual labor, moving these big heavy stones around so they don't break. We have a small crew and we all know what needs to be done. We don't have a big fancy office; we mostly stay outside in the yard where the stone is. The weather in Bairagupattadu can be hot, which makes moving the slabs even tougher on the back. We just take it slow and steady. We have different types of granite, some with lots of spots and some that are more solid and dark. We don't try to push people to buy anything. They usually come in knowing what they want for their floors or kitchen counters. We just show them what we’ve got in stock and tell them the price. It’s a basic, everyday business. We open up early and stay until the evening. It’s just a normal part of the neighborhood here. We see the same faces every day at the bus stop and that makes it feel like home. It is a good spot to be.
