Jayashree Granites

Jayashree Granites is located right on Cms Church Street in Amabasamudhram. It’s number 18 if you’re looking for it. The street is usually busy with people going about their business. We’ve been here at this spot for quite some time now, just dealing with stone slabs day in and day out. Most of the work involves moving the heavy granite around and making sure we don’t chip the edges. It’s hard on the back, but that’s just how it is in this trade. We have some machines for the cutting, and they make a lot of noise, which the neighbors probably don't love, but they’re used to us by now. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon. We usually take a break then and sit in the shade of the small office. There’s always a bit of dust on everything, no matter how much we sweep the floors. It’s just the nature of working with rocks. People come by from around the area to see what we have in stock. We don’t do much talking, we just show them the stacks. Sometimes the trucks arrive late at night and we have to get them unloaded early the next morning. It keeps us occupied. Amabasamudhram is a decent place to work. We just keep our heads down and handle the granite as it comes. No one here is looking to be famous, we just want to get the day finished and get home.
