Roever College

Our college is located in Elambalur, which is just outside Perambalur in Tamil Nadu. Roever College has been a fixture in this area for quite some time now. When you drive out here, you pass a lot of open fields and small houses before you reach the main gate. The campus is quite spread out, which is nice because there’s plenty of room to breathe. The buildings are the sturdy, old-fashioned kind made of brick and concrete. Inside, the hallways are wide and the classrooms have high ceilings. It’s usually pretty quiet during the day while classes are on, except for the sound of the wind through the trees. We have a lot of students coming from the surrounding villages, often arriving on bicycles or the local buses. The staff room is always a bit of a mess with books and papers everywhere, but that’s where all the planning happens. We have a canteen that serves basic meals and tea, which is where everyone gathers when the bells ring. There’s no fancy tech around every corner, just the essentials for learning. It’s a practical place where people come to get their education without any fuss. The weather can be quite hot, so everyone tends to move a bit slower in the mid-afternoon. We just keep things running as they always have, focusing on the students and their exams.
