Prist School Of Agriculture

Our place is located right along the Trichy Thanjavur Highway in Vallam, specifically on Cafe Road. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but that makes sense for an agriculture school since you need a bit of room for everything. We spend a lot of time outside or in the labs. It’s not just sitting in chairs all day. There are fields and patches of land where different things are growing depending on the season. You can smell the dirt and see the plants when you walk around the back. The students here are usually covered in a bit of dust because they’re actually working with the soil and the crops. Vallam is a quiet area compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. The building itself is straightforward. We have the usual rooms for teaching, but the real work happens where the plants are. People stop by on their way down the highway sometimes just to see what’s going on. We have a routine here that follows the weather mostly. If it rains, things change. If it’s dry, we’re out there watering. It’s practical work. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations, just the tools and the space needed to learn about farming and crops. It is a simple setup for anyone who actually wants to get their hands dirty and learn something useful for the future. That is basically what we are about.
