We are based at No : 2, Peramathi Road in Sp Puthur. Kalpataru Agro Forest Enterprises Private Limited has been here for some time. Our work involves agro and forest products, which keeps us pretty busy throughout the seasons. The location on Peramathi Road is convenient because it's easy for trucks to pull in. Sp Puthur isn't a huge place, so everyone kind of knows what everyone else is doing. We have a lot of outdoor space for our materials. Sometimes the yard gets a bit messy with dirt and wood, but we try to keep it organized enough to work. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the trade. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. Our desks are old and the chairs squeak. We spend more time out in the yard than inside anyway. The weather really dictates our day. If it rains, everything slows down. If it's sunny, we are out there until dark. We just take it as it comes. It's a practical business. We deal with real things like trees and soil. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just do it. People come to Sp Puthur to see us when they need agro-forest stuff. We've built a life here at number two. It’s not much, but it’s our place and we keep it going year after year, just doing the work.
