Ashiq Fly Ash Bricks

You will find Ashiq Fly Ash Bricks right on Dindigul Road in Manaparai. We are located very close to the Government Girls Higher Secondary School. You can hear the school bell ring and the kids playing during their breaks throughout the day. It is a busy road, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the buses and lorries passing by. We have a fairly large space where we keep the fly ash and the finished bricks. It is not the cleanest place to work, as the ash tends to fly everywhere when the wind picks up. We spend a lot of time spraying water on the ground to keep the dust down. There are about ten of us working here most days. We start very early, around six, to beat the afternoon heat. The bricks are stacked in long rows, and we have to keep track of which ones are dry and ready to go. We do not do much in the way of selling. Most people just see the stacks from the road and pull over to ask about our prices. We have an old table under a tree where we do all the accounts. It is much cooler there than inside the small shed we use as an office. We do not have any big plans to expand or anything like that. We just want to make enough bricks to keep the orders moving. It is a simple life for us.
