Anna University

Our place is located in Lalgudi T. K. in the Trichy area. It’s a very traditional part of the town and we fit right in with the other buildings around here. The postal code is 621702. The office is basically a few rooms and a small corridor where people wait. We have some old metal chairs for visitors. They aren't great but they serve the purpose. Life here at Anna University’s Trichy spot is pretty predictable. We arrive, we open the mail, and we start answering the phone. The phone rings a lot, mostly parents asking about deadlines. We try to be patient but sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when three people are talking at once. The walls are covered with some old maps and calendars. We have a small pantry in the back where we keep the kettle. The commute for most of us isn't too bad, as we all live within a few kilometers. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very human way of working. We don't have a corporate handbook or anything like that. We just know what needs to be done and we do it. It’s a humble setup but it’s been working for us for a long time. Everything is very plain.
