Akash Marbles

Akash Marbles sits over at 27, Block 21, right on the Karur Byepass Road. It’s a busy part of town near Thillai Nagar and Annamalai Nagar, so there is always a lot of traffic passing by. We have been at this location for a good bit of time now. It’s a basic warehouse style setup where we keep our marble stock. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady one that people can rely on. Most of our day is spent unloading crates and showing customers the different patterns in the stone. Marble is heavy and tricky to handle, so we stay pretty focused on the physical work. The bypass road makes it easy for deliveries, which is a big help. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, but that's part of the trade. We don't have a team of salesmen in suits or anything. It's just us in our work clothes ready to move some slabs. We’ve seen plenty of houses get built using stuff from our yard. It’s nice to drive around the local area and see where our marble ended up. If you are looking for us, just head down the bypass and look for Block 21. We usually have the doors open early. It’s a straightforward business and we like keeping it that way. Marble stays cool even in the heat, which is why we like working with it.
