We’ve been over here at Kuttamthadathil in Bangalore for a while now. Trx Technologies India Pvt Ltd is basically just a group of us sitting behind screens most of the day trying to figure out tech problems that come our way. It gets pretty loud sometimes because the traffic outside in Karnataka never really stops, but we just put our headphones on and keep at it. Our office isn’t anything fancy. It’s got some old chairs and too many cables running across the floor, which we really should tidy up one of these days. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at code or whatever project is on the desk that week. People often ask what we actually do, and it’s mostly just making sure the systems behave like they are supposed to. Some days are slow and we just chat about random things, while other days we are rushing to get things finished before the weekend hits. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just doing the work that needs doing. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there waiting for the backup to kick in. It’s a normal job with normal people. We like being in this part of Bangalore even if the commute is a bit of a pain for some of us. We just show up, do the tasks, and head home. We’ve got a small fridge that mostly has old milk in it, but we manage.
