We are based down in Thrissur, Kerala, right by Nattika Beach. The office is at Pallath House, which belongs to Santhosh P.K. Being so close to the beach means we get a nice breeze, though the salt air isn't always great for the equipment. We are Kirlosker Construcions And Engineers Ltd. It is a bit of a smaller operation here compared to the big city offices. We spend a lot of time out at construction sites or looking over engineering plans at the big wooden table in the house. It’s a very local way of working. We know everyone in the Nattika area and often talk business over a cup of local tea. The atmosphere is relaxed but we take the building work seriously. There are no fancy suits here, just practical clothes for the Kerala weather. We deal with various engineering projects across the district. Sometimes we have to travel quite a bit, but we always come back to this spot by the post office. It is a quiet place to think and draw up designs. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. We just rely on the work we’ve done and the people we know. Working from a house like Pallath makes the whole team feel like family. We’ve been doing this for years and we just keep moving from one project to the next without much fuss or noise. It’s just how we get things built around here.
