Kaledam Agro Farms Private Limited

If you head over to Mettipadam in the Kodassery area of Thrissur, you will find us at Door No. 20. This is the Kattilaparamban House, and it serves as the base for everything we do with Kaledam Agro Farms. We are a small group, mostly family and a few neighbors who help out. The work is mostly outdoors, which means we are at the mercy of the Kerala sun. We grow various things and try to keep the soil healthy without using too many shortcuts. It is a slow process and you can't really rush nature. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. Most people hear about us through word of mouth in the village. The house is always busy with someone coming by for advice or to see what is ready for harvest. It gets a bit chaotic during the planting season, and our boots are never clean. We aren't looking to become some giant company. We just like the work and being able to stay on our own land in Thrissur. There are good days when everything grows perfectly and bad days when the bugs get to the crops. We just take it as it comes. It is an honest way to make a living, even if it is tiring. We are just folks who like the farm life and the way things move a bit slower out here, away from the city.
