Y&L Dairy Suppliers is situated at Office No.47 in Ambalathara. We are very close to the Milma Market, which is the center of the dairy trade in this area. Because we are so near the market, we see a lot of farmers and milk collectors every single morning. Our work involves supplying the tools and small machines that these folks need to keep their dairies running. The office is not very large and is often filled with the smell of the market nearby. We have a few shelves with spare parts and some larger equipment sitting on the floor. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We spend a lot of time explaining how a certain pump works or helping someone find the right size of tubing. Ambalathara is a busy place, especially when the milk trucks start moving before the sun is even up. We have been here for several years and have built a lot of good relationships with the local farming families. We do not have any big marketing plans or a sales team. We just open the office and wait for people to come in with their questions or their orders. Sometimes we go out to the farms ourselves if someone is having a problem they cannot fix. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but it feels good to be part of the local dairy community here.
