Oxford Kids Montessori House Of Children And Tracher Traing

This place is tucked away near Vettu Road in the Kamaleshwaram area of Kaniyapuram. It’s a bit of a long name we have, but most people just know us as the Montessori place on the corner. We have kids here but also adults who are learning how to be teachers. It makes for an interesting mix. The building is an old house that we converted, so it feels more like a home than a school. The rooms are filled with those small wooden toys and mats that the Montessori method uses. I spend a lot of my morning just arranging things back in their places because the kids move everything. It’s quite hot here in Thiruvananthapuram, so we keep the doors and windows open to let the breeze in from the trees outside. The training part for the teachers happens in the afternoons usually. We sit around in a circle and talk about how to handle the children without being too strict. It’s not very formal here. I wear my slippers around the office most of the time. We don't have a big fancy sign out front, just a small one that's a bit faded from the rain. The neighborhood is quiet, mostly houses and a few small shops. Sometimes we run out of chalk or paper and someone has to walk down the road to get more. It’s a slow-paced life, focusing on the little ones and the adults who want to work with them.
