We are located over in Pullanivilla, which is part of the Thundathil area. If you know where The Trivandrum Scottish School is, we are just a short walk from there. Our building is a simple place where we keep the books and the desks ready for the students. Most of the kids come here after their regular school hours are finished. It gets quite busy around four or five in the evening. We handle both science and commerce subjects, so there is always a mix of talk about physics problems and accounting ledgers going on at the same time. The rooms are not very large, so it can get a bit warm when it is full of students. We have whiteboards that are stained from all the markers we use every day. It is a very normal setup with wooden benches and old fans. We don't really do anything fancy here. We just sit down with the textbooks and go through the lessons. Sometimes we have to explain things two or three times before it clicks. The parents often wait outside or come in to chat about how their children are doing with their exams. It feels very much like a neighborhood spot. There is always some dust from the road nearby, and the sound of traffic is a constant background noise. We just keep the doors open and focus on the work that needs to be done for the next test.
