Puvinan Producer Company Limited

Our operation is based at C/O Ramamurthy, Manavur Salaithiruvelangadu Tamilnadu 631210. It is a typical rural spot. Puvinan Producer Company Limited is just a group of us local farmers working here as a team. We don't have a big corporate building. Most of our meetings happen in the front room or out on the porch if it’s not too hot. We deal with whatever is in season. Sometimes it’s rice, other times it is vegetables. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather and the water levels in the wells. The paperwork is a bit of a chore, but it’s necessary to keep the company legal. Ramamurthy keeps all the files in a big metal cupboard. We don't have a receptionist, so if you come by, you just have to call out for one of us. We are usually out back or in the fields anyway. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that creak a bit. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office. We just want to make sure the farmers in our group get a fair deal when it’s time to sell. It’s a lot of physical labor and long hours during the harvest. We just do our best to keep things moving along for everyone in the village. We like the way we do things here and we keep it very simple for the sake of the growers.
