Voltas Ltd.

This is the Material Handling Business Division for Voltas Ltd. We spend our days dealing with the heavy stuff—forklifts, reach trucks, and all that equipment used in warehouses and factories. Our part of the company is all about moving things from point A to point B. The office is usually full of technical manuals and schedules for maintenance visits. It’s not a shiny corporate suite; it’s a place where we talk about load capacities and battery lives. We have a team that’s pretty hands-on, often out looking at machines or talking to operators on-site. There’s a lot of coordination involved because these machines are big and expensive to maintain. We keep track of spare parts and service calls all day long. It’s a busy environment and things can get a bit chaotic when several machines need attention at once. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the equipment inside out. The coffee machine in the corner gets a lot of use during the morning rush. We don't really do much in the way of big presentations or fancy brochures. Most of our work is done on the phone or on the workshop floor. It’s practical, hard work that keeps other businesses moving smoothly. We just focus on keeping the machines running so the warehouses don't stop. It’s what we’ve always done and we’re used to the pace.
