Volktex Engineering

Volktex Engineering is based in the Shree Bhagawati Building on NCC Road. We’re in the Saraswatpur neighborhood, which is a pretty decent place to work. The building itself is easy to find, though traffic on NCC Road can be a bit of a mess during rush hour. We’ve been in this space for a while now, and it’s grown on us. Inside, it’s mostly just workbenches, tools, and a couple of computers for the technical stuff. We don't have a receptionist or a big sign in the lobby. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see one of us hunched over a piece of machinery or checking a blueprint. We do a lot of small-scale engineering tasks. It’s the kind of work where you have to be careful with the details, or nothing works at the end of the day. Sometimes we have to redo things, and that’s just part of the process. We don't pretend to be perfect. We’re just a group of people who enjoy fixing things and making parts that work. The lunch breaks are usually spent at the corner tea stall or just sitting near the window watching the cars go by. It’s a quiet enough existence. We don't run fancy ads or anything. Most people find us because they heard from someone else that we do okay work. We’re just here doing what we know. The shop is open most mornings by eight and we stay until the light fades or the work is done.
