Satyam Engineering Works

You can find Satyam Engineering Works over at 19 Dilip Nagar. We are right across from the Vicco Laboratory building, which is usually the easiest way to tell people how to get here when they are lost. It’s a noisy neighborhood sometimes with all the various shops and work going on all around us. Our shop isn't much to look at from the street, but we have everything we need inside to get through the day. There's usually grease on someone's hands and the smell of metal in the air. We’ve been at this address for years and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit as new buildings go up. The door stays open most of the day to let a breeze in, even when it’s raining. We don't have a website or anything like that. People mostly just hear about us from someone else or walk in because they saw the sign while passing the laboratory. It’s a hands-on kind of life. We deal with parts and repairs and all the regular engineering stuff that comes our way. The workbench is cluttered with bolts and scrap, but we know where everything is kept. My father started things here, and we just kept it going because it’s what we know. We don't have a marketing department or fancy business cards. We just have a bunch of wrenches and some heavy machinery that we know how to use. It’s a simple way to make a living. We show up, do the work, and go home to our families. That’s plenty for us.
