United Steel

United Steel is based in Mumbai, specifically over in Jogeshwari West. Our office is at A/2, 402 in Vaishali Nagar. It is a typical Mumbai apartment-turned-office vibe. Living and working in the 102 area code means you are always around some kind of noise or construction. I guess that is fitting for a steel company. We spend our days tracking orders and talking to different suppliers. The space is not very big, but it is enough for what we need to do. Jogeshwari can be a bit of a maze if you are not used to the streets, but Vaishali Nagar is a well-known spot. We have been working out of this building for some time now. It is just a few of us here making sure the steel gets to where it needs to go. We do not have a flashy showroom. Most of our work is done over the phone or on the computer. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving. The weather in Mumbai is mostly humid, so the fan is always on high speed. We are just regular people trying to run a business in a crowded city. We keep things simple and try not to overcomplicate the process. It is hard work, but we are used to it by now. There is always a pile of paperwork on the desk and the phone keeps ringing, which is good.
