Ami Steel Industries

We’ve been here at Rajgiri Apartments in Kandivali East for a good while now. D 203 is where most of the paperwork happens, though the real work with the steel involves a lot more than just sitting at a desk. You’ll find us surrounded by stacks of files and sometimes metal samples that take up way too much room. The neighborhood is typical for this part of Mumbai, always something going on outside the window and the traffic on the main road never really stops. We start early most mornings because that's when it's coolest and we can actually get things sorted before the phone starts ringing. It isn’t a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we handle the orders and talk to the guys at the yard. Some days are quieter than others, but usually, there is a lot of back and forth about measurements and delivery times. We know the local tea stall guy pretty well by now. If you’re looking for us, just head into the residential block and look for the sign near the stairs. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stuff coming in, but we manage to keep things moving. It’s a simple setup at Ami Steel Industries, nothing more than what’s needed to keep the business running and the customers satisfied without any extra fuss or unnecessary noise. We like it here in Kandivali because everything we need is just around the corner.
