We have been here at Sahkar Vijay Industrial Estate for a while now. Navghar is a busy spot in Vasai East and our unit at number 9 is usually pretty loud with machines running most of the day. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a lot of metal, tools, and people trying to get things made correctly. Mumbai weather gets really humid in this part of town, so the workshop stays hot, but we just keep at it. My father started things small and we just kept going year after year. Most days involve looking at drawings or checking parts that just came off the line. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it's for billing or looking up a part number. The neighbors in the estate are mostly doing the same thing as us, so there is always a bit of truck traffic coming in and out of the gate. Sometimes the power goes out or the rains make the roads a bit messy, but that is just how it is in Vasai. We don't have a big marketing team or a polished reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with grease on our hands or talking to the guys about a specific job. It is honest work and we try to make sure the stuff we send out doesn't come back with complaints. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here in Mumbai.
